This year's entertainment features the 147th Army Band from the South Dakota National Guard, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all. With a variety of activities and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

What began 38 years ago as a simple BBQ has blossomed into a cherished community tradition, now welcoming over 500 military families.
The Black Hills community deeply appreciates the selfless dedication of our military members and their families in defending our freedoms. Each year, at the Military Appreciation Event, we honor several distinguished Airmen and Soldiers for their exemplary achievements both in their careers and within the community.
